I managed to remember to buy a bottle opener on the way home from work today and finally, finally i’ve sat down with glass of pinot :) 

Hopefully it will help me sleep, i hardly slept a wink last night as John was nights.  Being alone for the first time was very strange.  I heard every strange noise and even had to get up in the middle of the night and switch the light on for a while as i had bad dreams.  It kills me that i’m 29 this year, and still scared of the dark.  I’m going to invest in a proper nightlight as the one i had is broken and the lamp is too bright to sleep with.  You can see my dilemma!

Just about to watch Katie and Peter.  There is one good thing about John being nights and thats that i can get to watch what ever i want on the telly!!  Katie and Peter, followed by Big Brother and NO FOOTBALL.

Ok, so i was looking forward to the wine, until i realised that we haven’t yet bought a bottle opener…

Strange title, eh?  I’m in Paul Weller mode at the moment, and i’m gutted as i can’t afford the new album at the moment…

So, Alexandra the Bitch… Poor Mikey.  I don’t know if any of you saw Big Brother last night, but she was really horrible to him, I mean really.  All the poor guy did was mess around with Sylvia’s thong; in no way as a female did I find that disrespectful.  It was a stag do for crying out loud.  I hope she gets the boot, I really do. 

Tonight John is on nights.  It’s the first time he’s been nights for a long time, so I’m not really sure what to do with myself… I went and got a bottle of Pinot Grigio, which is chilling in the fridge as we speak, I’ve lit some candles and I’ve got some olives and feta to snack on later.  I brought some work home so I may get on with that before Big Brother comes on again at 9.

Really not feeling work at the moment, it’s getting me down.  I’m not giving it my all, I’ll admit that but I feel as if I’ve gotten as much as I can from the position.  I have days where I love it.  I mean it’s a great place to work, it’s just not challenging and sometimes it’s a bit boring.  I’ve just about had my fill of financial administration; however I do love the marketing side of things.  I think I’ll stick it out for a while before I say anything, or even consider moving elsewhere and hopefully things will change with the new financial year.  It sounds daft, but it’s always a chance for a fresh start.
